Bottle. Dark brown with frothy head. Sweet malt, caramel, raisins and hearth scrapings.Bit of chocolate, but it didn’t ring out and there was a hint of bitter, wet citrus, but the orange had departed for warmer climes. Slightly resinous medium to thin.

Bottle from Ales By Mail [280114]
Dark ruby chestnut brown, beige thin head that dissipates, some lacing
Aroma of toasted malts, dab of brown bread, deep brown malts, hedgerow fruit hops, bit earthy
Taste of dark brown caramel malts, English hops, hedgerow fruits, some toasted malts, bit earthy, not getting the orange, twiggy hops, some tangy fruit
Palate - Medium carb and body, fairly sweet malts. Finish quite dry, bitter twiggy yeast tail.
Overall - Old ale, not chocolatey, only orange in it might be that tang - OK overall
