Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding crowd, Oxford. Chestnut with slight head. Quite a fruity, malty beer with hints of cherry in the flavour, earthy with a malty sweetness. Some fungal notes in the close. Reasonable.

Cask at the Edgar Wallace, London. Pours a semi-clear amber with a soft, white head. Lightly roasted malt aroma with some metal notes. Fairly sweet, malty, nutty, metallic. Light to medium in body with average carbonation. Finishes with some mild hops and lacing. So so.

Cask, Spoons, Chelmsford. Excellent lacing, tough biscuit y malt, caramel, toffee, grainy, dry biscuit finish, ok bitterness, balance could be better, would go well with some bread, low carbonation and murky in appearance.
