Bottle at cgarvieuk’s Danish Invasion tasting. Clear vivid gold, thin white head fades to almost nothing. Soft toffee malts, subtle lemon nose. Dry lemony palate, soft bready malt, quite juicy and a very dry peppery finish. Not bad, not great.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Being served at the same time as Golden Crust Summer Ale and described by the Brentwood guys as ’a totally different beer’. Hazy amber beer, suddy off white head. Light sulphur in the nose. Light palate, low carbonation and dry. Mild pale malt, a light touch of hop but what there is tastes of rich orange. Actually fairly well balanced. Dry finish. Mild sulphur distracts.
