Jan 19, 2010 Bottle 50 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a creamy off-white head. Toffee and caramel in the nose - very sweet. Medium body, again loads of toffee notes and nothing much else really. No bitterness. 190110

Dec 9, 2009 Bottle. Amber brown with a thin head. Aromas are weetabix and dark treacle malts with some nuttiness. Chocolate with some citrus. Quite yeasty. Flavours are sweet toffee and chocolate with grapefruit and spicy hops. Herbal on the finish. Good.

Reddish amber colour with small tan head.
Quite sweet and yeasty, reminds me of American Red Ales. Could have another one.

Mar 30, 2009 A Mes rate: cask at Baker St ’Sporks.
Copper coloured with a good creamy off white head. Slight apple in the aroma does it no favours. Pleasant nutty malt dominated flavour with a faint dusky bitterness. Good fruit and a little caramel add some depth. Good body. Decent chewy malt finish but let down again by some burnt plastic. The middle is good, shame it starts and ends poor.

Feb 22, 2009 Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Chestnut with white head. Sweetish smooth beer with a slight nutty character. A little caramel character but just a little too thin, standard Spoons fare.
