Cask (handpump) @ Three Guineas, Station Approach, Reading, Berkshire, England RG1 1LZ.

Clear medium to light amber colour with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, fruity, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, fresh hop oil. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, fresh. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110427]

Cask (gravity dispense) at London Drinker Beer Festival 2007. Listed in the festival program as Brentwood Hop Triple, but on the barrel as Hot XXX Buns, which seems to be the correct name. Probably just a mistake in the program as I can’t find any other reference to Hop Triple. Described as a "fruity little number". I found it a respectable but uneventful session bitter. Touches of citrus. Not much more to say.
