Popular with all who try it, this delicate dark brown mild has just a hint of maple syrup coming through in the finish.

Cask. Dark brown colour, sweet, slight maple aroma, taste is a touch sweet, and a little buttery. Not that much going on.

Cask @ The Pembury Taven. Pours deep brown with no head whatsoever. The nose is faint sugary maple syrup and cola, not much else. The taste is brown bread, sweet maple, more cola and light soy sauce. Hints of cherry and peanut butter. Soft, light and thin. Overall, not a favorite!

Dark, mahogany brown coloured beer with a off white head. Mild, sweet malt and syrupy nose. Bittersweet, dry mouthfeel. Malty dryness is matched with a syrupy sweetness from the Maple. Cambridge B.F. 2012

Scopey (3253) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 17, 2011
Cask at the Wallington 2011 Beer Festival. It pours deep brown, with a thin off-white head. The nose is golden syrup, treacle, toasted malt and light spice. The taste is roasted malt, golden syrup, plastic, tires, wood and some astringency, with a woody finish. Light to medium body and soft carbonation. Not great...

(Cask at Southampton Arms, Kentish Town, London, 19 May 2011) Dark nut brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, nutty nose with caramel, chocolate and dark bread. Malty taste with notes of caramel, nuts, raisins, prunes and hints of maple syrup shining through. Slightly toasty with a certain sweetness. Rather light body. Quite nice.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 29/3/3011. Reddish brown with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish, red fruit and caramel aroma with a hint of roastiness. Flavour was also sweet, with the maple syrup evident and a softly bitter finish. Ok.

Cask Conditioned handpump Crosse Keys London. A hazy chestnut coloured beer with an off-white head and lacing. A sweetish nose with a bit of caramel. Sweetish again in the mouth with a nutty note. No obvious maple syrup but there is a bit of fruity hop. Not bad.

Cask conditioned at The Royal Blenheim, Oxford. Dark chestnut with cream head. Rich malty mild with a sweetish background, a nutty note a bit like nut brittle, caramel, not sure I picked up any Maple, but a decent beer and nicely drinkable.
