Popular with all who try it, this delicate dark brown mild has just a hint of maple syrup coming through in the finish.

Tried at his at the hop and barley, Lincoln. Deep Ruby colour with a off white head that was very thin. Aroma is burnt and sweet maple syrup, with soft fruit. Taste surprisingly not overly sweet. Medium body and low carbonation.

Cask@Tap East, London (old backlog). Deep ambery brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is some slight toasted and wooden notes along with a kind of syrupy sweetness to it. Flavour is quite similar, but with the syrupy notes dominating quite much. Still balanced and not all too sweet.

Gravity cask at the Liberty Belle, Ely. Mid to dark brown with a hint of ruby. a small white head which dissipates quickly. Simple and light aroma: blackberry, caramel, cedar, milk chocolate. And yes, I do get a hint of maple here. Sweet taste with an increasingly bitter finish. Focused yet measured bitterness in the aftertaste. Bitter coffee and praline. Body has more depth than would be expected for this ABV.
