Hand pulled at the Old Contemptibles, Birmingham. A burnt tinge to the hops. A very nice, but slightly timid hop framework, but I do get cascade and a nice bitter finish. Could do with a bit more oomph.

Cask, The Shakespeare (Nicholson’s), Brum. Deep bronze with a fine white head. Some OJ based cocktail in aroma. No freshness or citrus. Deep husk, more OJ, big bitterness, big comedown from Oakham Citra at The Barton’s. Felt like asking for my money back- nothing remotely Pacific to be found here.

12th July 2011 Chelmsford Beer Festival. Clear amber beer. Suddy white head. Smooth low carbonation palate, semi dry. Caramel malt - sweet. Mild orange hop that gets sweeter. Pretty dry finish with a mildy malty aftertaste. Ok. Needs more hops!

Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW. Pours a clear gold with a foamy, white head. Citrus rind hop aroma, some bread. Sweet flavor, faint toast, slight honey, some juicy citrus. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Sweet, lightly sticky finish with more citrus and bready malts. Very not bad!
