Cask (gravity dispense) at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival, 4 February 2010. Copper colour. Good solid hops throughout but comes across more like a strong bitter than an IPA in feel. Dry mouthfeel with a fair amount of bitterness. Overall, a likeable and pleasant beer with a firm backbone.

Cask at Blue Boar, Billericay. Pours a glorious copper with a little ruby red afterglow and a tight cream coloured head. Tropical fruit aromas hit the nose, predominantly passion fruit and mango with a little caramelised pineapple in the mix. Glides dreamily over the palate depositing little pockets of bitterness and tropical fruits in equal measure. A tropical fruit punch finish (think Lilt with a bitter edge) rounds off a wonderful US West Coast influenced IPA with some very British reserve. Excellent.
