3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Dudar (101) - Minsk, BELARUS - JAN 14, 2012
If you ever try Bretstkoe Porter -this one is jus a diluted version - same malts same hops, same flavours. deepr red brew, caramel and molasses all over. light bitterness. cloying sweetness is a flaw, otherwise quite a drinkable caramel lager.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Cletus (6064) - Connecticut, USA - AUG 12, 2008
This was a dark beer my friend Victor brought back with him from his vacation. I think this is the beer. It is a Belarussian brew, this is the brewer, but the label is in Cyrillic and 2/3s of it is missing. Pours dark brown with a thin touch of a tan head. Smells vegetal with some rosey undertones. Tastes of caramel, molasses, some cherries, hints of licorice, some underlying bitterness. Enjoyable brew!

Bottle - 500ml. Dark amber body with thin off-white foamy head. Fair malty aroma with brown sugar hints. taste is watery and finish non-existent.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Oakes (10184) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 27, 2005
Dark ruby-brown colour. Not much carbonation. Candyish, molassesy aroma. Sweet, molassesy flavour. Definitely an Eastern European dunkel, and with the purity of the molasses character I’d say one of the better ones.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 BeerPrince (1701) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 27, 2005
Dark brown with a thin head. Aroma was monster sweetness with a molasses and caramel smell. Flavour was uber sweet. Some toastiness but the sweetness dominates. Not my favourite style.

From a 500 ml bottle. Dark brown beer with a thin tan head. Aroma is quite sweet, licorice, soy, molasses with a touch of coffee. Candyish sweetness. Light oaky flavour with sweet caramel malts. Light toasty finish with a hint of herbs. Surprisingly good.
