Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear medium amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is sweet malt, resin hop. The flavour is medium sweet with a bubbly, sweet mineral earthy, watery, light metallic palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Too many bubbles, two light and no backbone. A poor beer.

As "Saense Herfst". Aroma of malts, raisins, candy sugar. Flavour is malty and sugary, medium to heavy sweetness. A bit too sugary for my taste.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Malz, Karamell, rote Früchte. Geschmack süß röstmalzig, rote Früchte, leicht würzig.

Tnx Edo. Bottled 330ml. Half gusher. Dark brown color, huge beige head. Aroma has candy sugar, herbs (minty). Medium-bodied. Sweetish. Raisins (candy sugar), rye bread, light hops. Quite typical Dutch sweetish ale bock. Pleasant, maybe even a bit underrated here.

On tap at Arendsnest. Dark slightly hazy red pour with nice slice of off-white foam. Aroma is fruity, definite pear notes, light toasted grain and vanilla. Taste is quite sweet, lots of pear, light cakey notes. Palate is fun, quite fluffy, good carbonation with medium body. Quite sweet but enjoyable in small amounts.

On tap at the Bockbier Festival in Amsterdam. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of bread and smoke with a hint of underlying raisin. Flavor has a note of raisin bread up front with a hint of smoke in the finish.

Draught at Amersfoorts Bockbier Festival. Dark amber with an off-white head. Medium body with soft carbonation. Sweet with a bitter finish. Dried fruits, nuts, caramel and bread. A decent bock.

Ordinary Dutch bock beer. Is from a small brewer, but tastes like one of the big ones. Sweet.

worldbeertaste (1619) - AUSTRIA - SEP 23, 2013
UPDATED: OCT 11, 2013 Medium hazy brown with a medium beige, lasting, lacy frothy head. Smells of deep malt, molasses, brown sugar, blackberries, light hops and yeast. The body was frothy and the bottle erupted keeping the frothy over carbonated feel which didn’t make it very nice to drink. Eventually it thinned out. Taste is a bit off. Tastes of wood, dark malt, coffee, syrup with a soft coffee and raisin bitter finish. Lingering liquorish. The liquorish is a bit overpowering and not superbly pleasant. I didn’t find it repulsive but the overall presentation was poor. But drinkable.
