(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 23 Feb 2013) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of caramel, raisins, prunes and spicy hints of yeast. Malty, roasted taste with dark rye bread, prunes, raisins, coffee, chocolate and a slightly spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and quite well balanced. Nice one.

Very decent, first beer I’ve had from this brewer with a great concept. Rye bread, thick, not too much of everything, might have used a little more though. There was nothing bad about this beer at all, can’t wait to taste more. Had this at the Winterbeerfestival in Gouda, 2011.

The color is dark brown. it smells a bit sweet. the taste is a bit sweet, gooey, watery, bitter, alcoholic-stale. In my opinion not interesting and also not very tasty. 10/8/6/6/-/7

Bottle@WBF2012. Much surprised by the beer. Flavourful and easy going. Rather sweet but matches the spices well.
