draft & bottle. had a glass at this beautiful little brewery in the gaspesie and enjoyed it very much. it poured a golden orange and had a nice foamy white head. the taste was a light bitter mixed with an acidic and tart raspberry. fairly watery palate and a slight mineral edge but i enjoyed the taste enough to grab a bottle. unfortunately the bottled batch proved miserable. i don’t know if the brew master forgot to sample the run before bottling but our was horribly soured. tasted like vinegar and pickles. couldn’t even make it through a glass. now, the brew has received some harsh reviews and with my mixed experience i don’t know whether to decent or add to the trash talk. either way, sampling this brew is a gamble.

Bouteille brune, 500 ml, dégustation Vieux Stock VIII chez Dum le 28 juin 2008; oeil : paille, voilée, pas d’effervescence, pas de dentelle; nez : « lambic », léger acide, léger aigre, léger fruité, blé; bouche : plate, levure, blé, très léger coriandre, « lambic », finale en lambic, peu carbonatée, légère acidité; en résumé : bof!

Jan 2, 2008 Bottle: Poured a deep golden/light brown color ale with a medium foamy head with limited retention and no lacing. Aroma of berry syrup with a weird chemical like adjunct. Taste is also characterized by some chemical-like berry and malt. Very unpleasant and definitely not something I am about to try again.

Oct 25, 2007 Bottle, purchased @ Fromagerie Atwater. Pours orange with a 1 and a half finger bright white head. Sweet razzy nose. Taste is bitter raz with little to no flavor, very very bad.

Oct 16, 2007 hazy golden, lotsa foam aroma is rasberry but smells like a syrup, flavor is tart but doesn’t really hit the tartness a good proper gueuze should ok beer but not a top contender.

Sep 3, 2007 Hazy light golden with a tall head. It’s kind of like raspberry flavored soda water that’s running low on the raspberry syrup. Watery thin, with a stale air finish. Barely drinkable, and very disappointing.
