Bottle brought by Joe at a somewhat impromptu tasting at Andy’s place while Eugene was in town visiting. Pours a murky brown with a thin white head. Old paper, wort and old vegetables, cinnamon. Thin, papery, soda, cola. Tart with more lingering paper. Weird cardboard flavors. So very very bad.

Metalchopz (1427) - Quebec, CANADA - AUG 31, 2011
Originally rated July 2006. Pours a darker peach-caramel colour with a small but efficient off-white head. Some light lacing and a nice ring around the glass stays. Retention of creamy head is good as carbonation is quite heavy. Nice sourness in the nose as I forgot this was a Flemish Sour. Damn, the taste is the same chemical found in the Christmas brew of theirs I just had. Slight raisins and plastic. Watery mouthfeel. Yeukk !

(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clear amber with a film of tan bubbles. Nose of sweet black cherry, lightly sour and salty, some sugar as well. Taste of salt, capers, tangerine, earth with an unsweet dry cherry finish.

Bottle not-thanks to JoeMcPhee. Pours a hazed murky brown with a thin fizzy head. Aroma is milky lacto, oxidation, baby diaper, old stale malts, butter bomb, tart lactic, ethyl lactate nastiness, with some sour milk and cheesy funk. Flavor is nasty blue cheesy funk, sour milk, astringent, woody, metallic, mineral, sour, isovaleric Parmesan cheese, rust, earth and leather- crap.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Poured a glowing, light amber body with a fizzy, lasting head. Aromas are fruity, sour, yeasty and lightly tart. Flavor is oddly medicinal, sour and lightly fruity. Medium mouthfeel with lively, soft carbonation.

Bottle courtesy bu11zeye. Clear light orange with yellow notes. Light apple juice aroma but other than that not much on the nose. Flavor is tart grain, easy malts but is really soured. Tastes old and very bitter to me.

22oz bottle of nasty crap shared by JoeMcPhee. Normal looking brown cloudy color with some ruby hints. The beer literally smells like cooked corn, like I want to eat the corn instead of drink the beer. Some fecal and unfermented wort. So it is all DMS. Flavor is all DMS and metallic. Few sips and I was done. Off putting to say the least.
