aroma of berries, fruity, light and pleasant. Pours a copper brown with a slight reddish tinge. Head starts off thick but quickly disappears. Carbonation low. Overall delivery is flat. Hops weak, although the berry taste comes out a bit at the end. Better than most fruit beers I've had. At least this has some alcohol.

GCBF. Poured a pale pink, like a cider. Loose, tall head with more pink. Pink pink pink. Aroma was a bit cloying and sweet. A bit of hops aroma came through, but seemed out of place. Mouthfeel was ok, but beer seemed overcarbed with a bit of acid bite to the back of the tongue. Flavour was a bit disjointed. Some nice malts singing backup, but a weird berry taste that I definitely do not associate with saskatoon berries (which I love) literally jammed up the taste. It was that ambiguous berry flavour that is all sweet and no berry that you find in blue drinks. I was pretty disappointed. Hops? there was hops in here?

Hazy pink colour. Light flavour - only a vague hint of fruit. A quick, light and bland beer...disappointing as I was hoping to sort out what Saskatoon berries taste like.

CapFlu (3798) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 31, 2003
UPDATED: JAN 1, 2004 (1 ltr bottle) Pours a medium, white, non-dissipating head and an amber body. Nose of berry and slightly metallic. Artificial Saskatoon berry flavour - too jammy and sweet? Slight malt finish. Above average.

Big blue 1L bottle. Very loud pop announced to the office that it was beer time. A small rush of foam and all was quiet. Big head of medium bubbles quickly settles. Fruity berry aroma, smells like fruit jelly. Thin light brown colour. Reminds me of a heather ale. The fruit does not overpower the beer. Don't swallow too quickly to let the berry flavour fill your taste buds. Very little hop or malt. Almost no aftertaste. A refreshing change and probably very nice on a hot summer day. The berry flavour gets stronger as you drink.
