Double Decker Porter was brewed in honor of our busing brothers across the pond. The beer has a silky chocolate character, which is balanced with British East Kent Golding and German Magnum hops. Combine that dark brown pour, velvety tan head, and decadent malt character, and you’ll find yourself doubling up on this brew for twice the enjoyment.

This is a complex beer. This a beer meant for a pairing not for straight drinking. Flavors of beef jerky, smoke, mild cola. It's rich and complex. Enjoy with Mexican or bbq. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at The Brass Tap poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, bakers cocoa and light earthiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bakers cocoa, coffee and light roastiness with a smooth dry lingering bakers cocoa finish.

12oz can via trade. Poured a deep chestnut brown with a smaller tight foamy dark beige head. Aroma is meh, notes of cola, old dark toadt, nut shells, bad coffee and a hint of raisin and some sweet chocolate syrup. . Body is sort of fuller creamy carbonation.Flavor is a bit better than the aroma, notes of chocolate syrup, brown bread, cola, nutts and some old coffee. Meh.

12oz can pours with a nice dark brown body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up malt sweetened roasted malts, chocolate and then a thin layer of molasses and caramel malts. The taste is pretty thick with malt and molasses sweetness that sweetens up the roasted malts and chocolate as well as earthy coffee goodness. In the background I get some spicy black licorice. Very nice.

Can provided by the beernut. Consumed with gusto by myself. The thing about a solid English porter iz that it shows a good deal of reserve. This porter does just that. In the description it sounss as if it may be a hop bomb in porter’s clothing. It is not. Well built and round in all the right places. Just the right amount of twang. Hmmm sounds like a girl i picked up in a honky tonk back in college.
