Double Decker Porter was brewed in honor of our busing brothers across the pond. The beer has a silky chocolate character, which is balanced with British East Kent Golding and German Magnum hops. Combine that dark brown pour, velvety tan head, and decadent malt character, and you’ll find yourself doubling up on this brew for twice the enjoyment.

An excellent brew that is a benchmark of the style (Anglo-American porter). Alluring aroma, appealing colour, and smooth subtle taste make this a safe choice and enjoyable drink.

Tap. Pours deep reddish black, ultra creamy medium tan head, show to dissipate leaving great lacing. Aroma is roasty, stake coffee, lactose sugars. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, roasty, cigarettes, coffee grounds. Better than aroma. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. Solid.

Appearance: clear dark cola-colored pour, with a finger of tan, creamy head that slowly shrinks to a persistent collar. Aroma: dark chocolate, general roast, some coffee, light caramel, and chalk. Taste: as the aroma indicates, plus a bit of ashy fireplace notes and just a hint of nuttiness. Finish: lingering roasty and chocolate notes, but the slightly unpleasant ashy characteristics linger a bit too. Notes: Not a terribly great porter, but not a drain pour either. Appearance, aroma, and palate were all fine. Flavors were generally decent, but the ashtray undertone is what kept it from being truly solid. Can from Knightly Spirits, Orlando, Florida.

12oz can shared by Pizz5116 after work. Poured a dark brown/almost black color with a small foamy tan head. Aroma of bad chocolate, earth, day old coffee, and a hint of vanilla. Taste of roasted coffee, choc, and vanilla, with some earthy hop bitterness. Taste is way better then the aroma. Pretty solid English Porter.

12oz can. Pours black with a small beige head. Aroma is predominantly chocolate. Tasty dark chocolate flavor with some roastiness. Medium bodied with a smooth roasty finish. I enjoyed it.

Strong coffee and bitter chocolate. Not bad, but if given the choice of a six pack or a ride on the beer bus, I'll go beer bus. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tasted on 9/24/14 from a 12oz can sent to me as an extra in a trade. Pours opaque dark brown with a thick tan head that slowly recedes to an average collar, leaving a bunch of sticky lace along the inside of the glass. The nose is some dark roasted malt with a bit of vanilla, and a hint of smoke. The flavor is a light hint of vanilla sweetness up front, moving to the more bitter roast, and same light smoke. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long lightly bitter roasted, hint of vanilla and smoke finish.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2014 Pours a nearly ipaque very dark brown. Short, yet perpetual dark taupe head. Light coffee and chocolate nose. Powdery mouthfeel. The chocolate and coffee come out a little more prominently than the nose.
