The Citra Saison is BBNo.’s modern interpretation of a Belgian farmhouse-style classic. A light, crisp body, fresh fruit/spice flavour and a mild bitterness make this a very refreshing, drinkable beer.

Bottle into Teku glass. Nice fat fluffy white head, pretty pale/golden hazy colour (i brought the sediment through the pour rather than leaving in the glass - which may in hindsight alter the flavour). I get coriander on the aroma front, beautiful opening up in taste and palate, citra, yeasty, vibrant, lemon flavour. Really, very surprising and very lovely Saison.....picture a perfect spring day with flowers in the field, laying on a blanket with your lady (or in my case, holed up in a two bed flat in grimy London, with the rain pouring outside and the cat doing her best to annoy seven level of shit out of me :-). Seriously, very nice interpretation.

Bottle from a friend, many thanks. hazy golden color with medium white head. Grassy hoppy aroma, with lemon, yeast. Taste, very light malt, dough, yeast strong in Citra hops, herbal notes, spices. Tasty.

33cl bottle, bottled on 18/09/2013. Label says 5.5%. Brewed at the Kernel brewery. Dark yellow, very thick head. Strong spicyness in the aroma, citrus fruits, hops. Very dry, mouthdrying, green hoppy finish. Citrusy, spicy, slightly tart. Really good, high drinkability, crisp. Wow!

Very tart, I’m not sure where the tartness comes from actually. Can taste citrussy flavours from the hops

5.5% bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. This is a pale hazy golden beer with citrus and grassy flavours, earthy notes and very dry tart fruit, biscuit and vanilla on the finish.

Pours a hazy golden colour with a big creamy white head. Smells of citrusy hops and taste is a lasting bitterness.

Appearance: Clear golden with 2 finger thick head. Aroma: Mineral, leather, marmalade, pine/resinous, citrus, earthy, peppery, biscuit/bread. Taste: Medium sourness and bitterness with low sweetness and a slight saltiness. Palate: Thick grainy texture, light body, average/prickly carbonation, abrupt citrus, malty bitter, sour finish with a peppery end. Comments: Lovely and glass lace. Review is for bottled version 5.5%.

Bottled 18/09/13, from Market Row Wines. Quite a lively pour resulting in slightly hazy gold beer with fine visible carbonation and a large white head. The aroma is there as soon as the first drop leaves the bottle - slightly spicy, white wine, lychee, distant funk, yeast. Light body, full fine carbonation. Crisp, with white wine, apple, mild spice, lemon, tangerine with a medium, fairly dry, bitter finish. Nice.

330ml bottle from Ales By Mail

Long time no see Saison. Beautiful big white foam like it should be, light clear look. Fresh fruit aroma. Easy to drink. Good light bitterness at taste. I like a lot !
