The Citra Saison is BBNo.’s modern interpretation of a Belgian farmhouse-style classic. A light, crisp body, fresh fruit/spice flavour and a mild bitterness make this a very refreshing, drinkable beer.

Bottle. It’s a hazy, golden colored beer topped by a dense, finger-thick white head leaving some lacings. Lots of lovely citrusy, catpee-ish aromas, with some pale malts in the back. Pretty nice indeed, sure moreish. And that goes for the flavor too. Pine cones, resins, catpee, canned apricots and some catpee. Not much malts. Lasting bitter finish. Pretty tasteful and nice this one. Could sure have more of it. 140717

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours pale gold with a thick white head. The nose is earthy, spice, light herbal, orange peel, cat litter, grain and ginger. The taste is smooth, crisp, bitter, orange peel, spice, toasted grain, spice, ginger and light alcohol with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Solid saison.

Light pale yellow. Good saison aroma, while the flavour balances saison with a clean citra kick. A great summer beer

Bottle frae Brew Dog on-line store. Hazy yellow pour with a medium off white head. Citrus, earthy hop and yeast were present in the snout. Flavour was more of the same with a hint of barnyard, herbs and spice. Quite bright and crisp with a dryish bitter finish. Decent stuff and hard to fault but falls short of greatness.
