The Citra Saison is BBNo.’s modern interpretation of a Belgian farmhouse-style classic. A light, crisp body, fresh fruit/spice flavour and a mild bitterness make this a very refreshing, drinkable beer.

Superb aroma, spicy, earthy taste with a lasting dry, yeasty finish and thick lasting head. Very example.

Pours a hazy pale amber body with a medium head. Very nice aroma with hoppy tones of flowers. Nice and balanced taste with tones of flowers, summer and hay. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Nose is powerfully citra, with lemon, lemon grass, pepper, some spice and yeast. The lemon is too much. The taste follows with the citra and lemon and lemon grass overpowering the beer, with grass, cellar, and spice following. It’s a shame but this is all lemon, and is not a great beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours yellow with a slight haze and a lively, white head. Very unfortunate diacetyl aroma in the nose, overpowering the Citra. Medium body, soft on the palate, sulphurous, but I cannot get rid of that horrible diacetyl aroma. Ends dry. Could’ve been pleasant. 200515

Hazy golden color with big white head. Aroma of lemon peel, a bit funk, a bit peppery. Taste is fresh, earthy, peppery finish. Dry. Lower carbonation than expected. Lovely!

Keg in the Heaton Hop, Manchester. Cloudy lemon colour with a frothy white head. Zesty lemon flavour with light spice. Some earthy yeast notes too. Light and refreshing. Not bad.

Bottle, pours golden, hazy with stable white head. Intense ciric aroma with some spicy notes. Citric notes also in taste, delicate sourness, medium bitterness, spicy yeasty notes. Light body, average carbonation, citric-bitter finish.

Pours cloudy straw gold with beautiful pillowy white head. Aromas are prominently fruity and citrusy. From the hops, the flavors are citrus with a bit of piney bitterness on the finish. A good amount of yeastiness, spice, a little thin maybe, but really quite a classy saison.

Bottle from Corks of Cotham, Bristol. Pale gold in colour, with a big, rocky, white head and slight carbonation. Sweet, perfumed, floral hop and Belgian yeast aroma with some wheaty grains. Sharp, lemon flavour with some tangerine, crisp malts and a dry, tingly finish. Very good.
