The Citra Saison is BBNo.’s modern interpretation of a Belgian farmhouse-style classic. A light, crisp body, fresh fruit/spice flavour and a mild bitterness make this a very refreshing, drinkable beer.

Bottle from Craft Brixton. Hazy yellow with an effervescent foamy head. Nose is phenomenal. Citrous lemony, Brett yeast, touch of farmyard, but a beautiful floral aroma of lavender and honeysuckle. Wow. Taste is crisp lemon, Brett yeast, bready, with a nice crisp sour saison finish. Very good beer.

Keg, Norwich Tap House, 02/09/15. Diaphanous slender capped gold. Sweet edged, funky nose with spiced pineapple, lime and sweaty horse approaching lambic territory. Wonderful glossy fizzy nick, suggestions of horse, cream cheese, guava, unripe mango sour dabs. Grass and chaff to finish. Beautiful hallucinatory blend pitched midway between Pajottenland and California.

courtesy of Rabei - hazy orange beer with a little foam left; apricot and citrusy hoppiness; solid carbonation and medium-bodied, gently tart and sourish; dry and very fizzy fruity hoppy finish (lemon and apricots again)

Body is light, tingly carbonation, slightly foamy. Taste is light and watery, wheat, chalky dental rinse, spice and white pepper, touches of plastic. Alright-ish. Thin.

Lemony pale colour. This is a refreshing saison for a hot summer day with the Belgium yeast adding flavour but not in an overwhelming way. One of the best saisons I have had! Rated by BrewTom
