The Citra Saison is BBNo.’s modern interpretation of a Belgian farmhouse-style classic. A light, crisp body, fresh fruit/spice flavour and a mild bitterness make this a very refreshing, drinkable beer.

Bottle from Craft Brixton. Hazy yellow with an effervescent foamy head. Nose is phenomenal. Citrous lemony, Brett yeast, touch of farmyard, but a beautiful floral aroma of lavender and honeysuckle. Wow. Taste is crisp lemon, Brett yeast, bready, with a nice crisp sour saison finish. Very good beer.

Light pale yellow. Good saison aroma, while the flavour balances saison with a clean citra kick. A great summer beer

Bottle frae Brew Dog on-line store. Hazy yellow pour with a medium off white head. Citrus, earthy hop and yeast were present in the snout. Flavour was more of the same with a hint of barnyard, herbs and spice. Quite bright and crisp with a dryish bitter finish. Decent stuff and hard to fault but falls short of greatness.

330ml bottle courtesy of mr_h. Golden yellow, reasonable head. Clove resin aroma. Sour resin grain flavour. Sour perfumery aftertaste. Not my sort of beer.

Draught at The White Horse, Parsons Green on 23 March 2013. Poured a cloudy, light golden colour, with a dense white head. Aroma of peppery hop, citrus and dusty grains. Fresh fruity flavours, some straw and yeast esters. Finish was crisp hops and dry cereals with a little tinned fruit sweetness.

Bottle into Teku glass. Nice fat fluffy white head, pretty pale/golden hazy colour (i brought the sediment through the pour rather than leaving in the glass - which may in hindsight alter the flavour). I get coriander on the aroma front, beautiful opening up in taste and palate, citra, yeasty, vibrant, lemon flavour. Really, very surprising and very lovely Saison.....picture a perfect spring day with flowers in the field, laying on a blanket with your lady (or in my case, holed up in a two bed flat in grimy London, with the rain pouring outside and the cat doing her best to annoy seven level of shit out of me :-). Seriously, very nice interpretation.
