Keg at the brewery. Nice looking almost clear golden amber, soft white creamy foam head. Nose is musty and husky grain, slight musty funkiness, perfumed saison yeast which has a slight bubblegum note. Taste Also has the slight bubblegum note, crisp saison yeast, biscuity malt, some hop bitterness and bite and hop leaf that lingers on the tongue. Some citrous bitter tang but it’s grape fruity not orange. Hop not the fruit.

Bottle from Beer Gonzo, Coventry. Pours a hazy, soupy orange. Typical saison look. Medium white head. Aroma is of Belgian yeast, fruity funk. Freshness. Upfront yeasty flavour with some bitter and slight orange notes. Moreish flavour indeed! Slight peppery aftertaste with, this is where I can taste that flaked wheat the bottle talks about. Really refreshing beer and perfect for those long summer evenings. Very good.

Bottle at home picked up from Sourced Market. Clear yellow straw coloured pour with a white frothy head. Fine bubbles. Aroma is punchy fragnant saison yeast, with orange peel and some spicy notes. Also some citrus in the nose. Flavour is crisp and refreshing grainstore cereals, then grassy, orange zest. Firm slightly rough citrus bitterness lingers. Palate is crisp and finishes dry. High carbonation tingles the tongue. Really good yeast character. Slight numbing effect on the tongue. Good saison. Bitter twang is slightly off-putting.
