Brewed with wheat and Munich malts, this golden-coloured beer has malt character to back up the great hop aroma. Notes of tropical fruit, oranges and tangerines and a clean bitterness.

Draught at Brew By Numbers on 8 March 2014. Poured a cloudy orange, with a fluffy white head. Aroma of fresh grapefruit, peach and straw. Fruity flavours of apricot, banana and some cream. Finish was grassy hops, candy sugar and grain.

Bottle thnx to MannyGoldber, cheers!! Pours a hazy pale golden beer with a thin white head on top. Aroma is rather dusty, some sharp lemon notes in there and citric peel. Flavor is nice, light bitter, lemon present and much like a light hopped IPA actually. Medium long, light bitter aftertaste, rather full bodied and very well drinkable. I could session this all day if I have to. Very decent!

Garrold (1710) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 28, 2014
Bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield. Murky, dark gold. Filmy white head. A halo of bubbles remain. Tangerine. Light, ripe strawberry. Some soap. Hint of mineral. Taste is light, earthy, mineral, chalky bitterness. A soft, soapy sweetness, underlies. More dry mineral on the palate. Some fruit comes through on the finish.

Bottle at home, from Sourced Market, 04/03/14. Hazed orange golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is punchy citrics, earthy come dank hop notes, mango, mandarin, grapefruit. Taste comprises daak hop tones, pithy orange, light mango, grapefruit, chalky minerals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, nice danky hop vein pulseing through a semi drying close. Tasty hoppy number, excellent for style but at 5.2% should this not be an APA ???

Aroma: citrus fruits hops, reminds of an IPA! Appearance: hazy light yellow, big white head. Taste: light bitters, some sweet notes. Palate: turns very bitter, light carbonation. Overall: nice beer, not your typical Golden Ale, reminds more of an IPA in aroma. Pint at the White Horse, Fulham.

33cl bottle. Pours a clear golden colour with a big white head. Long lasting foam and lot of carbonation streming off the bottom of the glass. Aroma is hop forward on the fruity side, with pineapple and citrus. Taste is similarly fruity but not overly bitter. Grapefruit and peaches with a touch of acidic note in the finish. Medium mouthfeel and well carbonated. Nice and refreshing.

Cloudy gold beer, decent white head. Interesting nose of pineapple cube sweets, fresh flowers and wood from a hot sauna! Palate is smooth and semi soft and semi dry. Soft malt, a little creamy. Taste follows the nose to a degree. Floral notes and tangy pineapple with lesser peach and mango. Pinch of spice. Dry finish. Nice beer, interesting and tasty but a bit dry.
