Our Original Porter is brewed with seven different malts, including brown malt, chocolate malt and crystal malts. This results in a rich aroma and flavour that is backed up by a light dry-hopping.

Bottle, bought @Alesbymail. Pours opaque black with a small, creamy, beige head. Aroma has lots of luscious chocolate, mild roasted, hazelnuts, light coffee. Medium to low carbonation, fine dry and quite full mouthfeel. Flavour has good roasted malts, soft salty, licorice, dense chocolate. Lovely malty bitterness to the finish.

Pours very dark with brown head, and smells exactly as a porter should: toasted, malt, roast and sweet as well. Taste follows similar lines, very roasted and leaves the same as an aftertaste, very easy to drink and not very strong, shame the bottle was only 330ml.

Bottle (6.1%, June 2014 batch) from the brewery. Pour is black with a caramel head, aroma is coffee, toffee, roast malts. Taste is roast malts, toffee, light bitterness on a balanced, slightly burnt finish, full body, gentle carbonation and a thick, creamy texture. Excellent stuff

33 cl bottle.
Pours black color with a thick off-white head. Dry roastiness and rye on the nose, dark malts, some moderate hop notes also. Very rich and full, creamy chocolaty palate, some bready malts and caramel on the flavor, cocoa powder and subtle hops on the finish. Extremely pleasant with a rich flavor palette. One of the best Porters I’ve had in a while.
