Bottle at the launch party. Pours opaque black, with a tan brown head. Nose is rich and malty. Chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, prune, roasted malt. Taste is delicious and reminds me a bit of Carnegie Porter but even richer and better. Nice balance between chocolately, roasted malt and dark fruit, prune, raisins and a bit of vanilla. Very good porter.

Cask at the Pigs Ear Beer Festival, East London. Black pour with a tan head. Very nice aromas of dark chocolate, a little licorice, some coffee. Oh yes that’s nice! The taste reminds me of liquid bourneville chocolate. Also has a strong coffee approach. Long coffee linger. Roasty, toasty finish. Yum!
