Half at the brewery shared with the thepeter at Thomas’s b’day drink. Opaque very dark brown, off white foam head. Another classic and brilliant porter from Brew by Numbers. Nose is chocolate, black coffee, caramel, roasted malt. Taste is the perfect balance of flavours, not the coffee and roasted malt bombs that are popular right now. Luscious chocolate, moderate coffee and roasted malt, caramel, some dark ruby fruit notes.

Poured deep dark brown with a dense tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, chocolate, liquorice and roast malt. Medium body, flavour of the aroma, alittle bit of toffee and coffee added to things, quite a bitter roastyness to this one.

Draft at Churchkey thanks to solidfunk. Poured a dark brown, almost black, with a small wispy head. Aroma was roasted roasted roasted malts, some tobacco notes. Like 90% dark chocolate notes, some light smoke. Very roasted and bitter, but not heavy at all.

Bottle at home from mchughs. Pours oily black with wispy lasting tan head. Aroma is tobacco, toast, roasted malts, liquorice coffee, lactose, dark chocolate. Flavour is coffee, toast, burnt malts with dry burnt toast finish. Low carbonation, full body with creamy mouthfeel. Really great porter

Bottle 330ml (AbM, ABV 7.0%)
Deep brown color, nice creamy brownish head. Aroma has toasted malty, chocolate, first impression was ashy. Medium-bodied, smooth palate. Roasted malty flavor, hints of alcohol, oily, dark chocolate but perhaps too much ashy "tobacco" for my liking. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Quality brew anyway if you like burnt maltyness.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of hard-roasted malts, burnt black liquorice, almost ashy, some toffee, bitter chocolate, coffee, it’s all about the roast here. Flavour is lots of roast, burnt malts, burnt liquorice, light fruity, toffee, coffee, chocolate, hoppy and malty bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very good.
