Bottle. Hazy yellow in color with a white head. Lemon and tropical fruityness in aroma. Some sharp notes are there too. Notes of lemon and tartness in taste, later some doughy notes and hints of funkyness steps up.

Tap @ BeerTemple, small sample. Hazy yellow to golden color, medium white head. Aroma of hay, slight pineapple, bit lactic, slight funk. Soft sour taste, slight sweetness, bit lactic. Could have had more sourness for me even. Bit thin bodied now.

Draft at Beer Temple. Wheaty aroma, bit sour as well. Fresh taste of wheat, some tart and vegetable (not in a bad way). Tastes like it has brett in it. Must be the best Berliner Weisse I ever had.

On tap at the BeerTemple. Clear pale yellow pour with thin foamy white head. Aroma is nice and tart, lots of lemon pie, light grassy notes, nice and clean, not gastric. Taste is tart, nice and lemony, not too acidic, really lemonade like. Pretty nice Berliner weisse, certainly quite drinkable.

Bottle from the brewery. Colour is hazy quite bright amber, initial white head which dissipates very quickly to nothing. Nose is very nice. First it’s lemon sherbert, sugar, and then the sour dominates. Urine, lime, funky, farmyard, citrous, barnyard, some freshly cut grass. Taste is nice and fruity and full flavoured for a BW. Lemon, lime, barnyard and funkiness, urine, sour and tart, tangy mustiness. There’s some of the freshly cut grass too. One of the better BW I’ve had. Finish is tangy, fruity and a little acidic.

Bottled, 330ml from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Cloudy greenish gold with white head. There is a sharp, lemony nose, which is pleasant but on drinking the sourness is a little over the top for me, bitter unripe grape notes, tart lime. A challenge to my palate.

ElManana (835) - Scheldewindeke, BELGIUM - DEC 8, 2014
Bottle from the brewery. Pours pale yellow, big head which fades quickly. Aroma of yeast, bread, melon. Very high oxidation, starts of sour, grassy, earth notes which goes into taste of bread, yeast. Good Berliner although it’s not my style.

BeerandBlues2 (10531) - San Diego, California, USA - DEC 7, 2014
Tap at Max’s. Pours lightly hazy gold with a small, quickly disapating fizzy white head. Aroma is earthy wheat malt, salt, lactic grapes and lemon with light earthy hops. Flavor is lactic and barnyard sourness, lemon and grapes, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Light body and carbonation.
