4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle- 10th August. Medium hazy golden colour with moderate head and a bit of retention. Nose comes predominantly from the Amarillo- mandarins, oranges etc. Taste is mildly resinous with orange and a bit of Citra bite on the backend. Satisfying mouthfeel. A bit more backbone than other other IPAs from the same endz. Excellent stuff.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the brewery drunk at home. Hazy orange gold with thin lasting white head. Some tangerine orange aroma. Touch of butter/toffee. Some fruity and bitter hop on the finish. It’s a bit too toffeeish for me for an IPA that makes me slap myself in the face. Finish is pretty decent. Yep, just a touch too much dominated by the malt. Leaves the hops a bit behind. Ok.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle at home in London. Pours perfectly clear, rich gold with a modest, frothy white head. The aroma carries lots of pithy citrus, some grapefruit and orange, dashes of drying pine. Medium sweet flavor, some dry minerals, ripened citrus fruits, some stone fruits, mild piney resins, hints of alcohol. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Nice and restrained resinous pine in the finish, a bit more ripe citrus, a bit of earthy citrus rind, orange, some grapefruit, light sticky grass. Pretty solid depth and balance all around.
