On tap at Brew by Numbers, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is very orangey, with loads of resinous hops. Flavour is very similar, with loads of bitter resinous hops, orange zest, and dry biscuity malt. Very well-balanced, with a dry hoppy finish. Excellent stuff.

On tap at the Canalhouse Nottingham. Hazy golden appearance, lovely fresh flavour, citrus and mod grapefruit. Pretty in yer face if you don’t know quite what yo expect but in a good way! Very very nice beer.

Beese (2035) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2014
Bottle from the Red Squirrel Chesham Brewery Shop. Poured golden, with a light haze, a thin white head and some lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, tropical fruit and caramel. Rather musky flavour, some straw and really bitter pine needles. Finish was waxy, with a flowery note and a lot of, not bad, but unbalanced bitterness.

Idiosynkrasie (4026) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 31, 2014
330ml [6.7% abv]. Hazy, orangey dark golden to amber colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Grassy, citrusy fruity hop aroma, notes of grapefruit, some pine, some orange zest in the background; slightly herbal, earthy character overall. Taste thrills in mode of a crisp, biting, bitter hoppy drumbeat with citrusy fruity notes, biscuity caramel malty basis, a slightly grassy and earthy touch. Excellent. Fresh hop bitterness could wake the dead. Perfectly balanced, still slightly rough and dirty. Not with that American (e.g. Bear Republic Racer 5), self-expressive attitude of clarity and accuracy, rather with the natural power and beauty of a Rugby player (and his grass stained jersey).

lusikka (6449) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 28, 2014
330 ml bottle. Pours a golden colour with a small foamy head. Aroma of freshly cut grass, herbs and grass. Flavour of strong fresh floral bitterness, grapefruit, mild pungent sweetness, pine and orange pith. Medium bodied and a very long, lingering bitter, citrusy notes. Heavy hoppy herbal fumes as well. Brilliant. I want more!

mR_fr0g (3669) - Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2014
Bottle at home from the brewery. Hazed golden orange coloured pour with e lasting thin white cap. Aroma is initially zesy lemon, satuma and light grass. Then the aroma has some caramel and chewy resin. Flavour is lemon, sharp grapefruit, and balancing sweet orange notes. Some caramel and toasted malts. Assertive smooth, piney, orange hop bitterness. Lingering woody note is a bit off-putting. Palate is medium full, nicely sticky resin. All nicely in balance.

Garrold (1637) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2014
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Hazy, amber colour. Some lumps. White, bubbly, broken, sticky head. Lots of peachy, sweet maltiness. Light grapefruit. Hint of mint. Hint of spice. Taste is juicy sweet. A little dryness, then plenty of spicy, pink grapefruit bitterness. Juicy palate, with a little oiliness. Very nice, although a bigger hop bosh would have been fine by me...
