3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 hotstuff (3249) - USA - DEC 18, 2007
Draft at Brew It Up! Off-white small head that mostly diminished, minimal amount of lacing, transparent, no visible carbonation, and an orange hue. Malty, nutty and sweet nose. Flavor was sweet, malty, nutty, light chocolate, and lightly toasty. Smooth mouthfeel and light body. Very quaffable, tasty, nice flavor and enjoyable. Worthy of a try IMO!

Draft. An amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel and metal as well as a light note of something skunky, leading to a dry and metallic finish.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, California, USA - MAR 19, 2009
I’ve had this in the bottle and on tap on several different occasions. On tap would probably be my favorite. My rating on this will be on the bottled version. A medium sweet (undefined) aroma. Reminded me a bit of smelling a sugar bag, with a touch of vinegar. Appearance is a chalky brown, off-white head with a medium thickness to it. Flavor has that odd acidic/vinegar like quality, but mostly it’s lightly roasted, with a touch of nut and malt to it. Easy to drink, but I think I’ll stick with this on tap.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 timfoolery (662) - California, USA - JAN 10, 2009
Bomber from Brew It Up. It’s too bad this brewery gets a bad rap on the ratings system. The brown was exceptionally smooth, although medium-bodied. There’s really no carbination to speak of, but I tend to like that. Good palate, enjoyable brown.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DTM (608) - Winters, California, USA - JAN 6, 2009
Bottle from Brew it Up! in Sacramento, CA. Poured a brown color with a small head. Nutty flavor with a hint of chocolate. Medium bodied beer that was very even on the palate. Good beer.
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Oscbert (769) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 17, 2008
~Pours a brownish amber color with small creamy head.
~Has a mild malty scent.
~Has a toasted malt flavor and maybe chocolate?
~Medium feel, light bitter finish.
Roasted flavor is strong and distinct. Pretty good brew. Scent was definitely lacking.
