Had this on tap at Brew it up! Color is black. Heavy frothy head and very smooth flavor. Has a hint of vanilla with a heavy malt flavor.

Draft. A pitch black beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has strong notes of vanilla and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of vanilla, roasted malt - a bit too much vanilla for my liking. The finish is dry and roasted.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 JaBier (3212) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - SEP 7, 2010
Sample at the brewpub on 8/7/10. Pours black with a medium brown head. Nose of vanilla, maple and hershey’s syrup. Flavor starts with vanilla, then moves to chocolate. Those two flavors stay with you to the end. Nice beer and while it’s sweet, it’s not overly sweet compared to others of the same style. Best beer of the 16 I tried here.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 riversideAK (4560) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - SEP 12, 2009
Dark brown with a nice foamy tan head and good lace. The aroma is full of vanilla. Some roast and dark malt. Sweet vanilla dominates beer, perhaps a little butter, some light roast. Kind of tasted like root beer. Smooth creamy body, light lingering roast.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours pitch black with a dense, creamy, lacing and tan head. Aroma is solid vanilla and roasted malt. Vanilla and chocolate malt flavoured. Solid vanilla flavoured into a mild roasted lingering finish. Too much vanilla for my liking.

~Pours black with creamy tan head.
~Roasted malt scent with vanilla extract syrup.
~Clean roasted malt flavor with some mild vanilla.
~Smooth creamy feel, mild bitter finish.
~Just like their Macs Dry Stout, but the vanilla makes it a tad better.

Draft at the brew pub. Firm vanilla aroma backed by roasted malt. Dark brown color w/fair beige head. Thin to medium mouthfeel. Starts creamy vanilla, and the roasted malt stays in the background. Good. Smooth from start to finish.
