Pours a dark golden with a white head. Has a citrusy aroma with malt undertones. Strong grapefruit flavor but not overpowering and balanced with biscuit malt flavor.

Dewey's Pizza in Dayton, OH. Slightly musty aroma. Nice dark amber color, but looks kind of flat. Tasty all right, sort of barnyardy.

2.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 steelhead3686 (149) - Athens, Ohio, USA - FEB 13, 2012
Pours a clear golden/amber color with a small white head. Overwhelming hops with citrus, pine, and spice notes. The taste is one dimensional and that one dimension is BITTER! The body is light to medium with a thin, sticky texture. The finish is very bitter, but it doesn’t linger as long as some pale ales. I think the quick, bitter finish is a plus in this case because the initial taste is heavy bitter. Not a bad APA, but I want more than overwhelming bitter taste and a thin sticky palate. I do love the nose of this beer though.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Drew (2411) - Kent, Ohio, USA - JAN 25, 2005
I wasn’t expecting much from this - I mean, look at the name - very generic, but I must say the contents were a little more imaginative. Deep amber gold, medium fluffy head that absolutely stuck to the sides of the glass like thick fire extinguisher foam. This has a great amount of hops for the style without going near IPA levels. Malts are cookie bread, palate is bubbly and I think that adds to the crisp finish. Hops are moderately citrus with some peppery spice at the end.
