22 oz bottle. Yeasty malty aromas. Flavor brought on the hops. Actually a pretty good refreshing drink. Decent.

Bottle from Brew Kettle. Poured clear amber color with a moderate frothy white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate sweet malty aroma. Medium body with lively carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Drinkable brew.

For a Pilsener (presumably a Bohemian, although it’s listed here generically), they’ve brewed a decent Vienna. Reaason? It’s virtually hopless in aroma or taste. It pours a a deep golden bronze body with a slender white head. It smells of sweet light malts and a liberal dosing of vanilla extract. Nice & creamy in the mouth. Some fresh apples enter into the flavor as well. I kept waiting for the hops to jump in, but it never happened.

A small head dissipates quickly to a thin skin over a flat, golden/amber body. Aroma finds light vanilla & pale malts (no hops?) along with a hint of apple. Thick & sweet with malt & fusels (a little sugary, actually) this starts out more like an European Stong Lager and I really wish to know its ABV becuase it feels quite hefty. Light hops emerge in the finish, but not as much as you’d expect of a Pils (or a Bohemian Pils for that matter). Soft mouthfeel. Aftertaste brings back a hint of pale fruits.

Dark gold, clear with a smallish head. The aroma is hoppy, slightly grassy. The malt flavor isn’t the bold dry malt I like in the best of the style. In fact, it’s more of the lighter, sweeter malts of mainstream American lagers. Not bad, quite quaffable, actually, but doesn’t hold up the Bohemian standard.

22oz bottle. Dark golden color (actually, pretty damn dark for the style). Spicy hops jump out at you right away, but after the initial blast blows off and the beer comes to temperature, there is a sweet, almost buttery aroma lingering. Malty flavors are nice and tasty here, and there is nice balance between the spicy/grassy hops. Not quite as bitter of a finish as I expected. But this really wasn’t what I would call a ’clean’ pilsner. The flavors are muddy and clouded with buttery tones, and the nose is the same way. Like kujo said, this would make a suitable replacement for macro swill on a hot day, but only if you couldn’t aquire a bottle of Brewkettle Real American Pilsner.

22 oz bottle: Deep gold w/a short lived white head. Floral hoppy & slightly grassy aroma at first. Slightly sweet malt aroma follows. The grassiness goes away as it warms, unfortunately, so does the malty aroma. Hints of grainy malt. Well balanced, but sweet at first..transitions to a very well balanced finish & aftertaste. Some underlying bitterness as well. Hop flavor (floral) is very light, like you have to search for it. Lightly minerally character. Smooth m/f, lighter body, but not watery, medium carbonation. A good summer brew and alternative to macro swill. Light but still retains some flavor.

Nice pepper spice aroma with bready malts. Body is deep gold, 2 inch head, great lacting. Light bodied but with plenty of flavor. Saazy at first, but beam increasingly juicy hopped as I drank it - There must be another hop in this. Very tasty and refreshing. Purchased at the brewpub on 2/26/2005
