Pours somewhat opaque orange tinted beer with a thin white head. Nice clove and estery notes on the nose. Big banana notes on the tongue. Finishes smooth. Nice example of the style.

Draft sampler at brewpub. Poured a hazy yellow color with a moderate fizzy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Moderate spicy citrus hop aroma. Light to medium smooth body with soft carbonation. Medium spicy sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew.

hazy yellow, wispy white head, streaks of drippy lace, light malt aroma with peppery spices, light spiced malt flavor, touch of fruity sweetness, good flavor but mild for a hefe with the banana barely showing up and the phenols showing up more peppery than clove

This bottled brew poured a large sized head of finely sized mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body was hazy softly carbonated yellow orange in color. It had a nice wheat malt aroma. The mouth feel was initially smooth and finished with a good wheat flavored malty tingle. The flavor contained some fruity notes along with wheat malt yeast and dough.

Bottle. Poured a medium sized creamy and smooth white head on the first pour and a medium sized frothy head on the 2nd pour. Fine-very large sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. Fast rising carbonation, cloudy and a pale yellow hue. Malty, banana, spicy and clove aroma. Sweet, malty, banana, spicy and clove flavor from start to finish. Smooth palate, medium bodied, and good lacing.

Lastin white head on a darker golden hazy body. Aromas of wheat malt, yeasty clove, mostly clove, light banana ester. Typical, but nothing other special. flavor is conversely banana ester, light spicy clove and wheat malt, well balanced with a bit too much hop finish & aftertast IMHO for a Hefe, but I’ll live with it. M/f is medium to full with higher carbonation, lightly dry. A very solid HW but not outstanding. I’d take this over many American versions.

Hazy dark gold/orange, good head and lacing. Aroma has a good amount of clove and banana; spices. Palate is lively - small soft bubbles paired with a thinner citrus/wheat/yeast tang. Lemons and bread round out the flavors. Good Heffe!

Bottle: Murky orangy amber hue with frothy off-white head and some lace. The aroma has notes of banana, clove, lemongrass, dusty and papery, some toasted pale malts. The taste is sour and tart citric notes on top of wheat and bready malts. Good spice throughout. The mouthfeel is soft and twangy, chalky on finish. Better than most american made Hefes, very quaffable. Thanks Andy (Drew) for sharing the bottle.
