Tmoney99 (3429), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Sep 19, 2007 Draft sampler at brewpub. Poured a hazy yellow color with a moderate fizzy white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Moderate spicy citrus hop aroma. Light to medium smooth body with soft carbonation. Medium spicy sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable brew. kp (6000), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Sep 1, 2007 Date: 07/23/2007

hazy yellow, wispy white head, streaks of drippy lace,
light malt aroma with peppery spices,
light spiced malt flavor, touch of fruity sweetness,
good flavor but mild for a hefe with the banana barely showing up and the phenols showing up more peppery than clove

thedm (3405), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Aug 4, 2004 This bottled brew poured a large sized head of finely sized mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body was hazy softly carbonated yellow orange in color. It had a nice wheat malt aroma. The mouth feel was initially smooth and finished with a good wheat flavored malty tingle. The flavor contained some fruity notes along with wheat malt yeast and dough. hotstuff (3019), Indiana, USA Aug 1, 2004 Bottle. Poured a medium sized creamy and smooth white head on the first pour and a medium sized frothy head on the 2nd pour. Fine-very large sized bubbles that were mostly lasting. Fast rising carbonation, cloudy and a pale yellow hue. Malty, banana, spicy and clove aroma. Sweet, malty, banana, spicy and clove flavor from start to finish. Smooth palate, medium bodied, and good lacing. kujo9 (1043), North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA Jun 11, 2004 Lastin white head on a darker golden hazy body. Aromas of wheat malt, yeasty clove, mostly clove, light banana ester. Typical, but nothing other special. flavor is conversely banana ester, light spicy clove and wheat malt, well balanced with a bit too much hop finish & aftertast IMHO for a Hefe, but I’ll live with it. M/f is medium to full with higher carbonation, lightly dry. A very solid HW but not outstanding. I’d take this over many American versions.
