I lve a brown ale, nutty autumnal pints of russet coloured goodness. This is toward the brown side of golden with a pillowy creamy coloured head. The aromas lean toward powdered chocolate and baking with shaved almonds and walnuts. Initially a cloud of carbonation and then sort of fruity and slightly stewed-apple-sour and cinnamon. It’s interesting, but not what you’d expect from a brown ale. It isn’t sweet and nutty, it has a character of its own and I applaud that. In a broader sense it is an easy drinking, tasty brown ale.

Bottled. An amber beer with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruit, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, dusty hops, and some boring fruits, leaning on being over ripe. The body is light. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Big bottle. Pours a dark brown with ruby highlights and a foamy beige head. Aromas of chocolate and roasted malt, a little bready. Nice flavours of chocolate, brown bread, and a hint of plummy fruit. Smooth mouthfeel, body is on the lighter side but the flavours are nice. Finish is dry with very mild bitterness. A decent brown.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pours a hazy dark amber with a small beige head. Discreet aroma of roasted malt. Light body with a heavy carbonation and some notes of roasted malt. The finish is dry without any real bitterness. Indifferent. 220808

500mL Bottle. Amber beer with a large white head. Slightly cloudy when poured. Caramel notes dominates this malty beer, with fresh yeast coming through as well. Surprisingly thick in texture for this typeof ale. Slightly simple and slightly sweet. This is a beer you could drink all night tho.

Pours cloudy brown with creamy off white head. Very little aroma, only very slight malt is detectable. A pretty watery beer, main flavour is malt, with a hint of chocolate. Ends with a slight spice. I found it a bit boring with not much flavour.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 yngwie (9173) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 2, 2008
Bottle, kindly shared by papsoe. It pours an amber body with a small, beige head. There’s a little citric, dusty touch to the aroma, but there’s also enough caramel to prevent it from being really bad. Slightly sourish flavor too, with caramel, roasted malt notes and a fruity, citrusy touch. Medium body, slightly astringent. Citrusy finish with caramel and a little bitterness. Bet it’s a quite nice beer when fresher. (080822)
