COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark Side (of the Moon) Stout - is strong, dark and full flavoured. The chocolate malts and roast barley balance the higher alcohol, giving a beer that is creamy and easy to drink.

500 ml bottle pours dark brown with tan head. Good lacing. Aroma is earthy and slightly smokey and sweet. Full bodied. Taste is smokey and bitter, slightly more acidic than what I like. As it warmed up it kinda tasted like meat funnily enough.

The best of a group of a sample palette at the brewery in New Zealand. A very smooth and ’creamy’ dark style brew. Highly recommended to try if you try any.

Coffee and malt on the nose, this beer has good chocolately undertones that have good length making it very easy to drink.

500ml bottle. Dark and black in colour with a deep chocolate foam that collapses quickly. Flavour is toffee, coffee and chocolate and oh so good. Roasted malt in the aroma with a creamy smooth texture.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a large light tan head that lasts pretty well. Aroma has slightly acrid roast, chocolate, coffee;’ hints of plums, vanilla, lemon and grass. Some dark toffee sweetness under burnt malt and coffee astringency. Dry bitter finish with some coffee astringency. Some hop flavours in the bitterness that don’t quite sit with the rest of flavours at first, but balance improves as it gets a little warmer.

Bottle from Minibar in Queenstown. Pours black with a medium tan head. Big cocoa nose, with coffee, toffee, molasses, and roasted malt. The flavor follows suit, with better balance. Dry, roasty finish. Medium-full bodied. Active carbonation keeps this from being smoother. Overall, a very nice and straightforward stout.
