3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
2014-07-09. Crisp yellow body small creamy white head and nice lace. 3+ Aroma is relatively mild, fruity, whispers of sweet lemon. Flavour is pleasantly fruity, lightly bitter throughout. Relatively mild but leaves a surprisingly persistent bitter aftertaste. 7+ Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Milder than my preference but quite quaffable. Enjoyable. I am generally wary of Low ABV APA’s brewed in the UK as they veer dangerously towards spicy fuggled and bland traditional golden ales. This one was much more accomplished and a true representative of the modern APA.
Poured lemon with nice clean, pillowy white head. Textbook stuff. Aroma is citrus, grass, biscuit malt. Standard but all notes are bold and discernible. Taste s much the same, with some tropical fruit in accompaniment. Light bitter finish. Light, refreshing, hoppy APA. Nice.
