3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MesandSim (7109) - London, - JUN 1, 2008
A Mes rate: Cask at the Beehive. A special beer made for the Beehive in Baker Street and blended with mead. Clean golden colour with an excellent white head and lace. Sweet notes of honey but perfectly delicate and it enhances what is a pretty solid base beer. Good hops, good malt. Lovely long, long, slight sweet and creamy finish. Good stuff.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DruncanVeasey (5145) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 6, 2012
UPDATED: APR 7, 2012 Cask, Brew Wharf, 04/04/12. Unclear orange thinly frilled with white. Juicy, peppery, wine gum aroma. Way more hop than expected, and juicy, blackcurranty hop with it. Light earth; husk, Jaffa. Full body. Better (and hoppier) than honey beer has a right to be.

UPDATED: APR 4, 2012 26th April 2011 At Brew Wharf. Clear amber beer, residual white head. No carbonation. Semi dry palate. Odd somewhat soapy malt. Whisper of honey before the dry finish. Some hop bitterness in the aftertaste. Hard to drink - too weird - gone off? Original rating 2.3.
3rd April 2012. Not quite a year on but a tremendous difference. Clear amber beer, tidy white head. Smooth malt, a little sweet. Nicely balanced by tangy orange. Semi dry finish with mild hop bitterness. Decent.

Cask@Brew Wharf, ABV 3.9%
Unretired. Clear amber color, small white head. Sticky dark honeyish nose - fruity, somewhat hoppy. Light palate. Light hoppyness, sweetish honey-like maltyness. Light lingering sweet honey flavor in the aftertaste. Very watery, works best with food (too light for sessioning).

Cask handpull at Brew Wharf. Abv was 4.5%. Hazy deep gold colour lasting beige cream head. Yes some sweet honey. Rather good I thought as I like honey beers on the whole. Some dryness on finish. Some orange fruit. I rather like the malt and cereal malts on this too. Tasty
