Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUN 1, 2008
Cask at the brewpub with Harrisoni and ChrisO & Reakt, 9th April 2008. Hazy amber in colour with little aroma. Taste-wise, it’s a dry, hoppy session bitter that’s rather restrained.

Ungstrup (23922) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - FEB 14, 2007
Cask at the brewpub. An orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and brew mash, like a steeping mash tun. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, leading to a bitter, hoppy, and dry end.

Cask Stillage at the Victoria Leisure Centre, Nottingham 20/10/2006 Hop aroma. Golden amber coloured and hazy in appearance. Hoppy and crisp on the palate. Some dryness in a bitter lasting finish.

Glouglouburp (4780) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 13, 2006
Cask at Brewpub. Partly cloudy golden-copper body with a very small white head. Generic malt character. Lacks hop presence, especially for a Bitter. Some citrus notes and almost no bitterness. Name was changed to Wharf Ordinary, there was a big sign at the bar that read “In anger about the closure of London’s oldest brewery our Wharf Bitter shall now be named Wharf Ordinary and our Wharf Best shall become Wharf Special”. And ordinary it was.

3fourths (6399) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 14, 2006
Cask at the brewery in London. Lightly fruity nose, mildly grassy hop scents, some fruity grains and sugars as well. Very sweet overall, gummy bears and sugar. Crisp up front, fruity, chewy sweet. Decent.

Joeh (2036) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUN 5, 2006
Cask at the Brew Wharf, Southwark. Pale gold. Standard bitter with sweet malt and some fruit but, according to my notes, "a whole lot of dull".

duff (5483) - St, Margarets, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 3, 2006
Cask@Brew Wharf, Borough, London. Pretty boring, subtle hoppy, citric characters, with a grainy, thin, almost watery mouthfeel.

Cask: Subdued grassy citrus nose. Once again served too cold. Golden in colour and rather boring.

Cask conditioned (probably under gas) at The Brew Wharf, Borough, London. Golden to brown with bubbly head. Dry and light bitter but with a tinny CO2 whack within the beer. Once it settles there is a malty smoothness. Early days yet, but not one to return to.
