A Mes rate. Cask at Brew Wharf.
Amber with a thin white head. Reasonable grassy hops and a rounded malty base. Well balanced. Just a fairly standard bitter and not much to get excited about.

@ the brewpub. Copper, bright, chill haze. Sweet cereal malt. Fruity flavor, sticky palate. Yummy yeast. Lots of fruit. Sweet rambutan finish.

@ Brew Wharf. Amber. Toasty character. Light fruitiness. There is a nice toasty balance to this. The aroma is earthy, mushroomy.

Cask (handpump) at the Brew Wharf on 17 August 2010. Amber colour. At first I thought the condition was a little doubtful as it seemed a bit sluggish on the palate. However, it was tough to get a firm handle on it because it was served way too cold. Icy cold in fact. Fortunately, it improved massively as it warmed allowing a robust tangy hop character to emerge and ending with a lingering bitterness. Very drinkable and tasty as it turned out. Less fortunately, I’d nearly finished the half before it showed its true mettle. Would have scored 15 overall, and maybe higher in some other areas if it had started the way it finished.

On tap at Brew Wharf, London on 16th August 2010. Gold with white head. Fantastic hoppiness with a touch of smoke, a rounded but still excellently bitter finish, and a smooth mouthfeel.

13th August 2010 at Brew Wharf. A sneak preview from brewer Phil - Cheers Ears! Clear amber beer, little white head. Light malt on the nose with a tiny trace of fruit. Light caramel malt - well balanced with some light orangey hops. The malt turns a little creamy. Finishes semi dry with a slighty bitter aftertaste. It’s a decent on the nose bitter.

Thanks to Phil, tasted with Evin, Angelo and some random person. Aroma is very old ale style with some spices and some herbs. Creamy top head, good lacing, whirl it around and it becomes quite murky at the top. The carbanation is soft. Texture is creamy; the taste is typical bitter hops, also very mild in terms of texture, a typical English brew. Herbs, some grass and sweet caramel malts. An English ale for the masses maybe? .
