cask @ acbf 2012. Coffee and chocolate on the nose. Pours dark brown almost black. Chocolate malts with roasted malt flavors upfront and bitter chocolate. After you swallow the chili peppers kick in! Finishes peppery and hot in the back of your throat. Very good!

Cask @ ACBF 2012. Deep dark brown color. Malt and pepper in the aroma. pepper kicking in with thundering speed, pushing away all other flavor. Hints of chocolate. Sweet., malty. The aftertaste seems to last forever. Had to drink a lot of water and wait a while to restore my palate.

Draft @ acbf. Aroma subtle chili, roast. Flavour is intense peppery chili, slowly fading away. Intense but not too much. But only just. Normal people would say: HOLY CRAP THIS BURNS LIKE HELL!! AAAAAHH

Scopey (1659) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 2, 2012
Cask at Brew Wharf. It pours jet black, with a thick light tan head. The nose is coffee, liquorice, roasted malt, caramel and toffee. The taste is salted caramel, toffee, meaty, tangy dark fruit, smoke, liquorice, coffee and roasted malt, with a long dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. A solid stout.

Sneak preview courtesy of Ang - Cheers mate! This beer didn’t go on commercial sale until January. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Smooth palate with fine carbonation. Nicelt balanced. Dark smooth malt with decent hops. Grapefruit and a little orange, subtler generic fruits underneath. Semi dry finish with mild bitter linger. Decent and very drinkable.
