Cask conditioned handpump Brew Wharf London 11/09/13. A golden coloured beer with a bright white head and a little lace. A nice citrussy edge to the nose. Quite full bodied with a cereally lightly hoppy flavour. An interesting beer which I quite enjoyed.

Cask at Brew Wharf. It pours pale golden with a small white head. The nose is creamy, grainy, earth, hay, light toast and juicy citrus. The taste is creamy malt, assertive bitterness, grass, grapefruit, orange pith and pepper with a crisp, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Great bitterness. Well integrated and highly drinkable. Really good stuff.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2013 Cask at the brewpub - London. Pours clear gold with a fine, bubbly white hed. The nose has dirty hay and grainy malts. Light sweet flavor with some bread, bitter dry grains, hay, grass. Light bodied with soft to fine carbonation. Bitter finish, further grains and mild bready malts, more hay and grassy bitterness, lightly astringent. Hints of rindy citrus, too. So so.

Cask at Brew Wharf. Pours a yellow gold with a thin white head. Aroma is fresh, lemony, slightly veg funk. Light body. It's lemon, with a big grapefruit bitterness. There's a light biscuity thing too. It's OK. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

August 31, 2013 - hand-pull cask at Brew Wharf. A cream ale. Huh! Clear bright gold with a smallish off-white head. Plenty of dry pungent grassy bitterness to balance off a solid cereal malt body - smells crisp, just a hint of alcohol presence. Taste - strangely it has some "oak" character, mostly just light and crisp body, the maize must add an odd cereal/woody character - light wood resin? regardless, VERY bitter. Chewy and astringent and airy and long-finishing, coating big time and even though Ang explained that "30 IBU" is correct it just seems more alpha-forward because of the hops used, my guess would have been more like 60+ .... doesn’t matter, because this is an eye-opening cream ale, one of the best I have ever enjoyed.

Light haze on this gold beer. Little white head. Smooth palate with light fine carbonation. Light creamy malt. Big grapefruit pith with a touch of orange citrus. Finishes semi dry with an aggressive bitterness that lingers on and on. I really enjoyed the combination of the smooth palate with the very bitter sting in the tale.
