On tap at the site. Listed as Festbier. Slightly hazy deep copper with a lasting off-white head. Caramel and toffee aroma, with herbal hops and a hint of figs. Dry and rich malty flavour with toffee and a fruity note. Really clean and well made.

Flip-top bottle courtesy of Tomaz. nice brown pours, creamy tan head. aromas, grainy and wheat, light chocolate malts with decent roast and hints of coffee. flavors, chocolate malts, cereal/wheat lingering grainy delicious mouthfeel. Dark and pale malts, roasty finish mixed with some bitterness and a possible very faint but yet discernible touch of smoke.

Draught at Brewbaker, Berlin, March 2009. No ABV stated. Very dark brown. Not that much head. Very chocolatey dunkel. Not too sweet. Doesn’t have the usual dunkel fat sweet malt. More hoppy character than the norm for the style too. Good if atypical (and nothing wrong with that).

Draught at Brewbaker at Bellevue. Cloudy brown - offwhite head. Burned, roasted, licorice, dark bread, chocolate, nutty, lovely sharpness + bitterness, lovely hoppy, grass, soapy, citrus. Very nice.

Draft at the brewpub. Dark, nearly black-brown beer with beige head. Looks pretty. Nose of chocolate with notes of raisin and root beer. Mild bitterness balanced with mild bitterness, dark chocolate and dark fruit in the backdrop. Medium-dry with a roasty finish. Really outstanding.
