COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Of Course we made it 5.8%, it’s in honour of the 5.8L motor, the 351 (hence 35.1 bitterness units). We brewed it from German Pilsner malt, Southern Cross hops and lager yeast. We put it in a bottle with a pair of wide black stripes, and let it loose!

Bottle. A darker copper colour. The malt is quite rich, nearly in the Vienna style. Also a nuttiness. Sweetness a bit much for me.

This one was better than the charger lager but still nothing special. The GTS was surprisingly not too bad. This one is just an easy drinking lager with some lively carbonation

330ml bottle. Looks flat and lifeless when poured. Deep amber almost copper in colour with no head at all. Whisky like aroma with a perfumy follow through. Flavour is also perfumy with very little bitterness and leaves the palate dry. Like the Charger Lager, very disappointing.

bottle. slight citrus flavours, but this was definately dominated by the malts. didnt believe that it was 35IBU’s, it was a faint bitterness i detected

Davros (1021) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 5, 2010
Pours burnished gold with a very quickly fading head. Nose shows Euro grassy hops but with some noticeable darker malts (caramelised) to set it apart. Little else, quite clean, some floral notes. Malt is more noticeable as a flavour: quite sweet, especially later on when the grassy hops and carbonation fade. Too highly carbonated. Lacks enough dark malt to be a bock, too sweet to be a pilsner... Somewhere in between.

Bottle. Pours a kind of dirty amber colour with minimal white head. No real lacing. Aromas are a little bland and fairly typical mainstream. Some sweetness, a little hop character and a weird acidity. Flavours are as bland as the aromas Sickly sweet up the front, a little hop bitterness near the end, some alcohol burn and once again a weird acifity. Unfortunately I dont really like this one.

bluevegie (2926) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 10, 2010
Clear amber brown body with poor head and minimal carbonation. A bit of caramel on the nose, mainly malts. Some bitterness in the taste though the 35.1 b.u’s doesn’t really shade the sweetness, orange and a bit of grapefruit. Hoping for something really decent, this is drinkable but just a bit of a let down.
