COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an exceptional ale in every regard, from the celebratory styled skittle shaped bottle, its heady aromas and distinctive taste, to the warm afterglow it leaves on your lips. Named after its prominently featured spice, Star Anise, we recommend you cellar and savour this extremely rare drop, as there were only 642 bottles created. Stellar exhibits strikingly unique warming smells, more often associated with asian dishes. It is balanced with candy-like sweetness and packs a heat bordering on medicinal. With a warming amber colour and fine bead of carbonation, it drinks best when sipped from a brandy balloon at mild cellar temperature. This will release the complex yet subtle characters of biscuity and toffee like malt sweetness, and herbaceous hop flavours, both which are suppressed if served cold. Please note we have made this celebration ale to entice and invigorate the astute beer connoisseur. Every bit as super-nova as the new super-premium mainstream releases and imports, without leaving a black hole in your wallet.

Good head and carbonation strong, beer is misty amber look.Aroma fruity(stone)malt, spice, coplex mix.Flavour strong vegetable taste, potato, roasted carrot and ,caramel.Has a herb taste and something like nutmeg. The spice was a different taste in an ale, almost richly sour but once used to it blended in with the other tastes.Rather then a honey ,ginger, spice full flavour goes through to the end.

Almost orangey straw coloured body with short but lasting head. Was expecting something like Tangleheads Xmas Ale though this was much better as the spice was much more approachable. Thought the aroma was pretty sweet, a little like toffee and then the spice, both followed through well into the taste which seemed balanced and slightly warming. Excellent.
