UPDATED: FEB 25, 2013 Deep brown colour with a thick, frothy and persistant tan head. Nose is coffee, caramel and hops. Oily-creamy texture, medium carbonation. Aromas are coffee, wood, burnt caramel, hops and raisin. Alcohol is quite present but subtle (rum). Perfectly balanced between sweetness at the begining and bitterness at the end. Long bitter and alcoholic finish. A great experience !

Medium brown head. Hazy opaque black body goes deep dark brown at edge. Syrupy whisky and soy sauce aroma with caramel and toffee notes. Dry-sweet alcoholic smoky whisky taste with sugary caramel notes. Full body. Hot mouthfeel. Dryish smoky burnt whisky aftertaste with chocolate, caramel and earth notes. Quite nice, but very strong and sharp. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Storo enjoyed at home
Dark brown, thick creamy tanned head. Smells of raisins, rum, whisky, anis and malts. Medium sweet, then an interesting flavor i would identify as Fernet Branca, some spices and some medicine like things. Then comes the rum and raisins and take over with some oak in the back. Medium bitter, some hops. Quite unique beer; the Fernet thing is quite unusual, quite odd spiced up. The raisins though owns this beer. I liked it quite alot. Mixing whisky and rum was not a bad idea

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours chestnut brown with a small dark khaki head which leaves some good lacing. Nose showcases the rum soaked raisins perfectly. Sweet chocolatey rum with vanilla and heavy raisin sweetness. Notes of white chocolate. Whisky isn’t too harsh like a lot of BrewDog products. Taste is half rum half whisky and very chocolatey with heavy raisin coming through. Vanilla right on the finish. Melds together very nicely. Balanced between the booze and the sweetness. A fair effort. Great mouth feel. Creamy and holds the booze in check nicely. Great beer

sampled @Melna Ziema, ALEhouse, Riga, Latvia, 26th January 2013. Pours hazy brown to copper reddish, brown creamy medium cap. Piney, aley, a bit coffee, cocoa, dark fruit mild sweetness on nose. Pleasant astringent mouthfeel, hops presence is notable, but not overwhelming in flavor. Bit spicy on tongue, mild dry finish. Overall - very pleasant example to have in deep evening in front of fireplace.
