dark brown with beige head. Malty aroma. taste is malty, dried fruits and really woody. Finished dry, woody with nice bitterness. Really good, well balanced and a lot of fun.. I didnt feel the alcohol at all which is really strange given the close to 12% - very well masked.

330ml bottle (abv 11.9%). Deep deep brown, almost black color. Small brown head, stays. Sharp alcohol, sweet, syrup, milky, roast in aroma. Grassy, fresh hay, roast, milky flavor. Slightly unbalanced, but drinkable.

Bottled. Pours nearly black with a large tan head, with fair lacing. Nose of caramel and chocolate . Sweet flavor with dried fruit that ends up dry and quite bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and average to soft CO2. An enjoyable brew.

Pours near black. Aroma is raisin, oakey, some whiskey booze notes. Quite drinkable considering the abv. Taste is stout like, chutney, some slight cherry, coffee note, good carbonation. Licorice and brownies.

TET (1548) - FINLAND - DEC 21, 2012
A very dark brown beer with a big, dense and beige head. Aroma is intensive and sweet, raisins, rum, syrup, dried fruits and some dry oakbarrels. Taste is sweet, raisins, dark fruits, then also whiskey, turf and the sweetness is more balanced. Taste is very complex and weird mix of flavours, but still surprisingly succesfull, honest and not a joke. Almost full bodied and not sticky, smooth to drink. The weird and challenging style-mixed beer, but still succesfull, the great balance, I like this beer.

330ml bottle (Drink Shop, Tallinn) - at "100 Euros of Shit Beer" tasting, shared by Marduk - thanks! at 11.9%
Slightly stodgy aroma. Plenty of treacle loaf too. Occasionally some alcohol too. Very earthy taste, lost of biting gritty hops. Pretty smooth sweetness, but not too sticky at all. Almost tarry stickiness of the malts in the finish, stays with you for quite a while. A little dirty and yeasty in places, but that big mashy malty denseness is perfectly within the big malty envelope that Scotch encompasses. Did like this. All round solid brew. Would go up to the bar and order another as soon as I got to the bottom it the glass.

Det här var en riktigt bra öl, stabil kropp och välbalanserad som en bra öl bör vara. Smaken bar inslag av jordiga toner, russin och vanilj.

Bottle at a Chriso tasting, London - big thanks to Chris for this beer! Pours cloudy, dark red-brown with a light, creamy beige head. Huge semi-dark malt nose with big toffee character. Big sweet flavor with semi-dark malts, toffee, brown sugar and dirt bitterness. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with sugary leaves, caramel, cherries, raisins and more toffee. Big, sweet and ballsy, yet not cloying or too hot. Very nice.
