Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, orange - citrus, wood notes, light alcohol. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, woody hops, caramel, alcohol, woody, burnt sharp malt, alcohol soaked raisins notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcohlic. [20130405]

33 cl bottle at Brewdog Glasgow. Pours pitch black to brown with a huge chocolate brown head. Aroma is caramelish and light chocolate. Smooth caramelish, sweet, light toasted and mild fruity. Smooth caramelish and toasted malt, light fruity, bitter and lingering dry and maltyinto the finish.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Very dark brown, rich beige head. Aroma of caramel and raisins. Sweet with near full body and rounded mouthfeel. Deep caramel, dates and rhum. Fudge and white pepper in a bitter finish.

Opaque black - brown beer, massive pale tan head. Nice toffee - caramel nose. Smooth palate, a little airy. Smooth malt with good dark toffee. Touch of rum and dark fruits. Finishes with the malt turning a little earthy and also creamy. All flavours very well integrated. Quite a light beer for it’s abv but with a wonderful richness of flavour.
