Brewed in collaboration with Jeppe from Evil Twin Brewing (and named after his mum), this Double IPA is big on fruity flavours.
The latest instalment in our “Hello My Name Is…” series, this beer has been built on the same robust malt base as its predecessors and single hopped with Mosaic for lots of tropical, passion fruit and citrus flavours. Loaded with well over 100kg of blueberries, this is one super fruity hop bomb.
Malts: Extra Pale, Caramalt, Wheat
Hops: Mosaic
Twist: Loaded with heaps of blueberries

33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours clear amber with a rather small, off-white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with pine, berries, tropical fruits, caramel and hints of citrus and herbs. Medium sweet with nice fruity and hoppy flavours, but the blueberries is hard to get, but hints of them are noticeable after a while. Decent stuff, but not a favourite.

330ml bottle. Pours a fairly clear medium amber, with a smallish off-white head, which fades fairly quickly and leaves a little lacing. Blueberry, pineapple and kaffir lime leaf hops and caramel malt make up the aroma. An initial soft blueberry flavour is overtaken by powerful grapefruit and kaffir lime hops. The berries combine with malty notes to give the mid-palate almost a blueberry muffin feel, and with pineapple hops to create an interesting finish. A typically weird BrewDog effort, but also a very likeable beer.

Nice hoppy IPA. Were afraid that blueberry taste is too sensitive but it isn’t. Fruity Double IPA, excellent company.

Tap at Brewdog, Sheffield. Dark orange. Off white head. Sugary fruit. Grapefruit. Light, spicy, nutmeg type thing going off. Taste is bittersweet, to start. The sweetness fades, and the bitterness remains. Didn’t catch the blueberries. More like strawberry to me. Either way, very tasty. Light bitter, dry palate and finish.

Tap at 23 Beerz. Sweet orange nose, milky, berries. Orange-gold color with a low, fine head. Pretty soft, sweet, and malty. Very fruity, berries and oranges. Soft and silky. A bit strange but original and tasty.

Cuerpo medio con 8.2 vol. Sabores maltosos, ligeramente secos amargos y caramelo dulce final. Bastante fácil de beber y con un toque dulce de caramelo y frutos silvestres interesante. Bien en general.
