COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg and bottled, special
Brewed in collaboration with Jeppe from Evil Twin Brewing (and named after his mum), this Double IPA is big on fruity flavours.
The latest instalment in our “Hello My Name Is…” series, this beer has been built on the same robust malt base as its predecessors and single hopped with Mosaic for lots of tropical, passion fruit and citrus flavours. Loaded with well over 100kg of blueberries, this is one super fruity hop bomb.
Malts: Extra Pale, Caramalt, Wheat
Hops: Mosaic
Twist: Loaded with heaps of blueberries

Bottle. Hazy copper, white foam and some lacings. Aroma is sugary tropical, with pine, lemon, grape and some vanilla. Taste is about the same, the juiciness is present all the time, nice. Hints of caramell and vanilla. Lightly hoppy finish. A very stable, well balanced IPA. However, I bought this for the blueberries and they were simply not there - at all. Perhaps too much use of mosaic?

Very robust beer. Plenty of malt and a thick bitter hoppy finish. Almost heading into treacle territory. Hop resin is heavy. Blueberries are subtle but there’s a clear fruity edge.

330ml bottle. Hazy copper body with a white medium head. Notes of berries, spices, pine, tropical fruit and caramel. Bitter finish. Good, but I liked the Ingrid one more.

Very hoppy and fruity (vanilla and I guess blueberry..) aroma. But after a while, almost fart in the aroma. Not so much head. Interesting experiment and quality but certainly not excellent.

A lot of interesting fruit, grass and other things in the aroma: peach, apple, caramel. Light mouthfeel, low carbonation, very subtle bitterness.

Aroma: Smelling of sweet berries, mango, pine resin and soap.
Appearance: A hazy amber colored beer. An off-white head with small lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting bread, fruits, berry marmalade and yeast.
Palate: Medium low carbonation, a soft and oily texture. A big body with a somewhat dry finish.
Overall: No, blueberries in beer do not turn me on.
Note: Bottle 330 ml at home. Reviewed 2014-02-06.

Great bitter astringent ipa with a subtle blueberry but enough character to make this a great beer! Not as dry as expected but stil medium good body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smells wonderful! One of the fruitiest beers I have smelled. Smells citrus and a small small hint of blueberries (don’t know if I would have noticed without already know that the beer contains blueberries). Color is red, really amber color. Tastes really hoppy. Nice balanced bitterness. The beer feels a little bit thin to be 8.2%. A little bit more body wouldn’t have hurt. Overall a very refreshing beer!
