COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
keg and bottled, special
Brewed in collaboration with Jeppe from Evil Twin Brewing (and named after his mum), this Double IPA is big on fruity flavours.
The latest instalment in our “Hello My Name Is…” series, this beer has been built on the same robust malt base as its predecessors and single hopped with Mosaic for lots of tropical, passion fruit and citrus flavours. Loaded with well over 100kg of blueberries, this is one super fruity hop bomb.
Malts: Extra Pale, Caramalt, Wheat
Hops: Mosaic
Twist: Loaded with heaps of blueberries

Tap at 23 Beerz. Sweet orange nose, milky, berries. Orange-gold color with a low, fine head. Pretty soft, sweet, and malty. Very fruity, berries and oranges. Soft and silky. A bit strange but original and tasty.

Bottle at home. Some blueberry on the nose, sweet, dry, toffee, bitter, not much blueberry in the taste.

Draft @ Hoppy Loft.

Bottle. Reddish amber capped with white. Good stewed ganja and celery-like hop aroma with grapefruit, mandarin and calamine back notes; also honeyed biscuit. Smooth and malt slick mouthfeel; clean cut brittle hop suggesting curry leaf, dried flowers, cannabis and subcontinental spices plus the usual soft tropical explosions. Not picking up much if any blueberry which is a relief, or melds so seamlessly with the hop profile it’s barely noticeable. Either way, beautiful IPA.

33 cl bottle @ William K Kurvi. Batch #237, BBE 09.10.2014
Aroma is fruity and juicy with caramel and pineapples. Flavour is tart with some fruity hops, lingonberries, grapefruits and caramel. The tartness and bitterness do not quite match. Not bad anyway.

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines, cheers Ash! Aromas, not surprisingly, of blueberries. Other tropical fruits and a hint of cereal in the background. Taste doesn’t quite deliver on the expected masses of fruit, but is still good, finishing with a light bitterness, and not overpowering like some of the others in this series. Quite light bodied, surprisingly, and a short finish. Good.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark copper golden colour with an off-white foamy head. Aroma of floral hops, some berries, citrus and some caramel. Rich flavour of herbal hoppiness, caramel malts, passion fruit, pungent citrus and surprisingly strong juicy berries. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes juicy, bitter and berryish. Berries are much more upfront than on the Mette Marit brew. I kinda like it, but maybe it’s the Mosaic talking.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 11 Jan 2014) Reddish amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, orange and caramel. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, grapefruit, apricots, caramel, hints of blueberries and a generous citric bitterness. Almost full body, with a slight sweetness. Well balanced and tasty, with the berries more in the background than in some of the sister brews, but still quite evident, more so in the taste than in the aroma. Very nice.

21/XII/13 - 33cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker) @ home - BB: 9/X/14 (2013-1163)

Clear deep orange beer, irregular yellow head, little stable. Aroma: very piny, resinous, pineapple, sweet mango, bit sugary, honey, alcohol, ripe fruits. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: blueberry jam, fruity, some mango, a bit piny, sweet malts, honey. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, little piny, jam, dry hops, citrus, some grapefruit, reminds me of American barley wines (because of the jam flavours, which in this case are there because of the actual fruit in the beer, I know), medicinal bitter ending.

Keg at Brewdog Shepard’s Bush opening night. Aroma is dry complex musty tangerine and some dank hops, some mould? Light copper orange colour with a light fluffy white head. Flavour is musty dusty orange and tangerine. Light touch of grapefruit. Medium body and carb. Some tart berry in the finish.
