Flöska. Clear deep golden colour with a small white head. Spiced herbal sweet aroma. Ok mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet with spice and herbs along with ginger and some malt.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gurthnar (606) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - OCT 7, 2012
Bottle from brewdog.sk
Rather small off-white head. Clear amber to brown colour. Aroma liquorice, mint, similar to our local herb liquor "Demänovka". Cough drops. Under that lies some light smokey maltyness. The taste evolves in a very similar way to mentioned Demänovka. Initially more sweet, herbal. Towards the finish the bitterness takes over, though never above average. Notes of liquorice in the taste and finish too. This has definitely failed as an attempt to create an IPA. I am not sure, what I have expected, also unsure about what I really got. It is interesting and drinkable indeed. Higher ABV is hardly noticeable, if noticeable at all. This is not your regular beer, this does not fit in no beer style. Enjoyable in its own way. If I had a second chance, I would taste it very chilled.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 leaparsons (7080) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 6, 2012
Bottle. Hazy amber gold with a diminishing foam. Aromas are toffee and brown sugar with herbal and floral notes. Spicy with lots of ginger and coriander. Hints of banana with raisins and marzipan. Flavours are red berries with spicy ginger and some burn. Definite vegetable notes with sweet toffee and a herbal, dry finish. A decent experiment.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 gunnar (3599) - Sandnes, NORWAY - OCT 6, 2012
Bottle from Brewdog. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Aroma is malty, with some spices underneath. Taste is light sweet malts, woody and oaky kind of bitterness, with a lingering minty/liquorice aftertaste.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 Frovigalning (2028) - Örebro, SWEDEN - OCT 6, 2012
Bottle from BrewDogs webshop. Spicy smell and taste. Reminds me a bit of certain spiced beers in Sweden, but not as good.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jaghana (2830) - Strasbourg (France), FRANCE - OCT 6, 2012
Bottle 33cl from Fonefan thanks, a clear copper amber beer with good head. Nose is intense on ginger and pepper, aroma is sweet, floral, spicy, peppery, lot of ginger, herbal notes, cinnamon, kind of tree roots touch and light soap notes. Finish is again herbal and peppery, interesting.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 esox (862) - Oulu, FINLAND - OCT 5, 2012
Draught. Clear, reddish copper colour, no head. Herbal-sweet aroma, a hint of strawberry with loads of rosemary and thyme aromas and some resins. Sweetish, slightly sugary malt base, some grains, strong herbal finish with some resiny bitterness. Slightly vegetably. Medium body, smooth texture with nice carbonation. Curiosity.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sizzler80 (300) - Dublin, IRELAND - OCT 5, 2012
Rusty copper pour with a small white head, decent lacing. Dark fruit, spice, nut, damp smelly socks. Medium carbonation, meaty. There’s an almost artificial astringency which is not hugely pleasant. Sweetness coming the fruit and slightly tart. Arms Race is a curious little beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Brandman (1440) - Helsinki, FINLAND - OCT 5, 2012
AMber body, white head. ARoma is quite sharp with spices and some maltiness. Bit fruity. Flavour reminds me Special Holiday Ale, which was excellent. This ain’t. Something nice with the spices, but drinkability suffers a lot.
