3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Amber, clear. Nose is like walking in to one of those herbal/spice shops: ginger, lavendar, bergamot, some cinnamon, cloves, different types of herbs, teas, even some coca cola. With a good malt backing, of course. Body is quite full, doesnt feel hot, quite nicely balanced with all the herbs. This isn’t quite like a xmas ale, as it has that ginger freshness, but very spicy non the less. If you like hanging around spice stores or (the) body shops, this is for you.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
33cl bottle shared by Dutchdrebus. Clear copper to light amber color, virtually no head, just a slight off-white to beige lacing. Smell malts and overpowering herbs or spices. Taste malts, again a lot of herbs or spices, rosemary or lavender. I don’t know, maybe I’m completely wrong I always get confused with the different herbs and spices. Anyway, it also reminds me of dishwasherfluid, or whatever that’s called in English. Weird, full of herbs or spices and not my thing.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ home. Very clear golden orange colour with a head that doesn’t last long. Smells dishwashing soap, flowers, toiletrefresher.. Very soapy and shampooish. Tastes like it smells, but its actually okay to nice. Didn’t expect to like this. Fizzy carbo, medium body.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home - shared with Mette. Clear amber/brown - white head. Spicy - rather high spicy aroma, kampfer, sweet malty, light citric, kardemomme, enebær, not too spicy taste. OK finish - aroma is far too spicy.

Fun concept and I am happy that I had the chance to try this. However, this did not work for me at all. Goes to show that nothing truly replaces hops ;)

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
330 ml bottle @ Kitty’s, Helsinki.
Pours a copper amber colour without a head. Aroma of sweet caramel, strong herbs and nuts. Flavour of kola nut, ginger, sweet caramel, grass and really strong herbs. Medium bodied, soft carbonation and a sweet herbal finish. Weird. Not really an IPA at all. Actually reminds me of a Christmas brew with shitloads of spices.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
330ml bottle @ Kitty’s, Helsinki
Pours dark reddish brown with a tiny head. Aroma of berries, spices, honey, ginger, cinnamon and caramel malts. Taste is very spicy with notes of berries, ginger, cinnamon and spices. Finish is dry and light with some spicy and malty notes. Quite untypical beer with a massive amounts of spices and berries. Would work better as a Christmas beer.
