Rum and coke. Very light color for an imperial porter. Clear and rosy. Very fine carbonation, odd for they style. Sweet taste throughout with very clear rum barrel presence. Quite boozy. Not bad, but quite disappointing.

Bottle, shared with ej. Pours a deep bronze-hued brown body with a small, off-white head. Nose is smooth dark malts, rum, leather, hints of tar, booze, smoke, wood and hints of raisins and dried plumes. Very nice. Taste is raisiny rum, strong licorice tones, herbs, hints of wood, leather, syrup and alcohol. Smooth blend with a full body and medium carbonation level. Original and craftily made beer from two solid breweries. Recommended.

Bottle shared with ClubGonzo. Near black with a small amount of slightly tan foam. Aroma is full of rum, toffee and caramel, with mellow roastyness and woody notes in the back. Some alcohol coming through but not in any bad way, some liquorice in the back also. Taste is of caramel and woody, rum notes. Hints of frutiness of the dark kind, raisins, dates and figs. Body is surprisingly light for such a big beer, and carbonation is low.

Dark as the night, with almost no head. Aroma is very rum, licorice and coffee-dominated, with some leather, chocolate and caramel. Very sweet finish, almost to sweet for me.

Boxed bottle enjoyed at home
Pours dark brown, thin tanned head. Smells of liquorice, dark caramel, tart fruits and roasted malts. Heavy heavy sweet, quite dominant caramel, some of the tartness from the aroma blends in., also some fruityness and roast. Moderate bitter, fruit bitterness and some earthy notes. Quite strange mouthfeel, the bitterness fuzz up the smooth texture, i canít really say itís all that pleasent. I like alot of the aspects of this beer, but it donít blow me away in any way. Still, the fancy box makes my expectations a bit to high for what this beer actually is

330ml bottle. Dark black in colour with a skinny tan head. Spice and rum in the aroma which is pleasant. You can taste the rum in the flavour and the alcohol content is well contained. An interesting and very good beer.

Almost dark brown body with short head and a greenish tinge. Rum, caramel, raisins and tar on the aroma. Sweet taste, fullish body but fairly easy to drink, some chocolate coming through, also brown sugar and liquorice . ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Dark brown pour with a small fading tan head. Sweetish nose with notes of roasted malts and dark fruit. Similar themes occurred in the flavour which had some nice rum notes alongside some dark choc, vanilla, wood and fairly prominent booze. As a rum lover I enjoyed this. A worthy collaboration.

Bottle. Pours deep brown with bronzy / reddish tinges. Small tan coloured head that feel away super quickly. Nice aromas shows dark fruits, honey and light caramel. Some alcohol comes through nicely to balance. Really nice nose. Flavours show some light caramel sweetness before a somewhat booxy finish. Nice beer.

Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige foam. Aromas are marzipan and vinous fruits with raisins and sweet cola. Molasses and soy with bready yeast. Flavours are fudge and chocolate with Xmas pudding and spicy marzipan alcohol. Raisins with plummy apricot and black currant jam. Sticky fruit with dates and damson jam. Spicy and warming on the finish. Good stuff.
