Bottle. Sweet aroma with notes of wood, coffee beans and milk. Notes of caramel, vanilla, strawberries and peanuts in taste. Oily.

This wasn’t bad - except it was flat, which dulled the impact. Rum, candy floss, vinious and dark malts. Decent body despite the lack of carbonation. Some added vanilla and soy sauce in the taste.

Bottle shared at Brewdog, Camden. Pours clear dark brow with a small tan head. Aroma is rum, vanilla, caramel. Sweet flavour, initially rum, leading into a long vanilla and sweet toffee finish. Normal porter characters don’t seem present, but the BA works well. Full bodied with low carbonation. A great beer!

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown, with a small dissipating head. Smells strongly of rum, roasted malt, caramel and some alcohol. Tastes of a heavy sweetness, medium bitterness, a warming alcohol, and very much of sweet rum. Medium-full bodied, light carbonation, oily texture. Finishes with a warming and somewhat biting alcohol. Tasty.

330 ml bottle in cardboard box, Cardinal Pub & Bar. ABV is 11.5%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black, mahogany in the highlights. Moderate beige head. Strong and impressive aroma of rum barrel (= oak, dark rum, vanilla). Sweet and very malty flavour, again with strong notes of rum barrel, also molasses, caramel, raisins, chocolate and mild coffee. The domination of the rum barrel is no doubt intentional, but as BrewDog are normally not afraid to use hops (to say the least), I think they could have used some more of them here. But by all means, this is a lovely beer, when you want to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a small tan head. Rum, raisins and malt in the aroma. Taste is rum, sweet malt, caramel and chocolate. Some bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied. A bit unbalanced.

Bottle shared by Ajen. Nice, pretty head. Red tints in very dark brown beer. Nose of raisins and rum; a bit simple. Soft, sweet, fruity chocolate and fruit flavor, raisins, wood, rum, cola. Nice stuff, lots of rum.

Aroma a roasted malts y a alcohol, como si fuera un destilado. sabor recuerda a los vinos dulces del sur de españa con un final seco y amargo. De carbonatacion baja con un final alcoholico y a madera.

This was a special gift of an Irish buddy returning from a visit with his friend who is a brewer in Scotland. Enjoyed at a drunken adult prom party. Moderately dark with bed brown tints. Nose is sweet malt with hints of cherry tart. Booze and vanilla and tart. Taste is big sweet malty tart with light fuzzy booze and dark fruit. Yeast and coffee and vanilla and fuzzy booze. Don’t understand the low ratings. Really really good brew.
